In 2002, the UK phone payments market was a confusing place reeling from a number of micropayment systems break downs. Many companies and organisations understood the need for an effective non-credit card solution but there was no one that could implement such a system. Surfpin pioneered the idea of mobile and home phone payment methods with a solution that was instant and easy for consumers while at the same time robust and scalable for businesses.
